About the Host

More than one hundred years ago, Meredith College opened with just over 200 women. Today, they are nationally ranked and their student body has grown to include approximately 1,600 students, including men who are part of our graduate programs. All learn to enhance their strengths, broaden their perspectives, and prepare for lives of impact and distinction.

The Masters of Arts in Criminal Justice program, the host of the symposium, provides students with a competitive edge and acquired skills and knowledge needed to bring about positive change in the criminal justice field. Program highlights include:

  • Preparation to address critical emerging issues including gender, substance abuse, addictions, mental illness, and trauma
  • Hones the writing skills students need to write reports, keep accurate field notes, and more
  • Base knowledge for both criminal justice professionals and those looking to enter the field
